BVV announcement

I think it would be nice if you could write an "Announcement" post on forum.image.sc about the BVV integration.

I think the announcement should feature

1. a couple of beautiful screenshots
2. a link to the documentation (depends on BVV Documentation #1202).

What do you think?

Regarding the announcement, maybe we wait until the migration to scijava 40.0.0 and the corresponding Fiji release is done?

Just a heads up,
I suspect that for the scijava 40.0.0 bvv-playground also needs to be updated to the pom 40.0.0 .
In principle, it is just recompiling and releasing a new version, should be quick.
I do not really know why it is working fine in mobie scijava40.0.0 branch,
when I update my BigTrace that uses it, I have an error.

If the error appears, I can quickly fix it.
I also thought that at the same time I would add an option to change background color.
It can be handy for posters/white background slides, see below.

For me, additional highly wanted features would be: (i) source-specific clipping planes; (ii) better shader for label masks.

since the new FIJI rolled out today, some changes for the latest FIJI pom 40.0.0.
If you please update mobie's pom dependency for bvv-playground to 0.3.4
and ship this version with FIJI

Is that now the one that you get when you download the normal Fiji?

We just tested and it seems to be still 38.0.0.

My fresh download/update shows Fiji 2.16 with pom 40.0.0 and imglib v7 in jars

The pom-scijava 40 components have now been pushed to Java-8 update site.

Maintainers: Please upload any corresponding changes to your update sites.
