Several modifications to the green box may help segmentation:

  • switch for motor so it doesn't try to spin at low current settings
  • white cloths as diffusers for better lighting conditions
  • rooftop
  • bigger rotating base

Additionally, we should figure out how to control the auto-focus of the camera.

Possible solutions :

  • Diffuser : White cloths might cause uneven patterns due to the lighting and the fabrics. If that dosnt work we can use diffuser sheets which are cheap (~ 5 Euros) and there are different levels of possible diffusers.

  • OpenCV can change camera properties for the switching off Autofocus or setting it to infinity. If it dosnt work we need to install "v4l2-ctl" first and then run.
