Good question, not sure if idml behaves the same way when placing it. If yes it would be a matter of adding the file extension to the selection dialog.
Curious what's your use case though.

@egoater: working on the assumption that placing idml files is handled the exact same way as indd files I have added this in a test branch: I currently have only limited options of testing this. Can you please check if that works? |

Thanks for getting back so quickly! I tried it this morning and sadly it hasn’t worked.
I work with a lot of IDMLs and wanted to be able to do the same thing basically as the script already does.

Ok, I will need to dig into that and see if it's a mistake in my added code or if the idml doesn't work that way. Can't really promise to do it very soon since I don't have access to ID on my home computer and there currently is little time for this during my work days. One idea for a potential workaround: I don't know if that still works but worth a try. |
