Random distortion

I use the recorder on my website both with laptops and smartphones.
There is a seemingly random occurrence of sound distortion/robotic voice.

How can this be cause or diminished? What are the related settings?

PS: The distortion does not seem directly related to:

• using microphone
• distance of sound source and device
• device
• emptying cache

I am experiencing the same, seemingly random as well,
distortion/robotic sound can occur mid recording as well.

I have encountered the same issue.

I only experience this on mobile devices. Did anyone ever solve this?
