Sometimes, the AI model generates references to figures that do not exist. For example, in revising part of the Results section of a manuscript, the model generated:

The reference format also seems to be latex instead of Manubot/Markdown.
A potential solution to the reference to non-existing figures is to add this restriction to the prompt (i.e., "only existing figures should be included, not new ones"). And regarding the reference format, in the prompts, we could mention "Manubot" in addition to "Markdown" (which is already included), or we could add a short explanation of the format to reference figures/tables.
