I've built a very simple +1 increment in my fork, and would be willing to contribute this back.

I'm aware not all users will use simple numeric invoice numbers but I could add a simple check to see if previous invoices are numbers and work from there.

Thats great. I’ll review the fork early next week and if the implementation is generic I’d be happy to merge it and make a new release.

I definitely like the simplicity 👍 I'll review this and it looks like an excellent first implementation candidate before we implement prefixes and suffixes or any other more complex solutions.

There should be a feature switch for this auto increment though in the settings I think.
