Dotfiles

My personal dotfiles created based on this Hacker News' thread and this article.

Setting up

To my future self: to setup this dotfiles locally, run the following commands.

# install git (e.g. brew install git)
cd $HOME
git clone --separate-git-dir=$HOME/.dotfiles https://github.com/lucasnar/dotfiles.git dotfiles-tmp
rsync --recursive --verbose --exclude '.git' dotfiles-tmp/ $HOME/
rm -rf dotfiles-tmp
source .bash_profile
gdot config status.showUntrackedFiles no
# install wget (e.g. brew install wget)
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/git/git/master/contrib/completion/git-completion.bash

Usage

Usage examples:

# start versioning .imgcat.sh
gdot add .imgcat.sh
gdot commit
gdot status
gdot push
