Connect two MIDI 1.0 (DIN) devices over Ethernet/IP

I am new to AppleMIDI/RTP-MIDI and am trying to learn how this library can be used to solve a current problem I am involved with.

Can this library be used to create an exclusively embedded hardware device (with no computer involved) that would allow two MIDI 1.0 devices to be connected over an Ethernet/IP connection?

This embedded device would work the same as the "MIDI Network Box Pro" made by DoreMIDI (www.doremidi.cn/h-pd-54.html). This single device can be configured into either Initiator or Listener mode. See "Application (1)" as detailed on the above-referenced doremidi website.

If this type of operation would be possible using this library, are the essentials already contained in one or more of the examples under the "examples" directory?
