Dear professor,

I am reaching out to see if you can help me with this question, it may sound silly.
I want to do a study relating to the "he" identity construction using an English corpus and I would like to see the verb forms after this pronoun, like past tense or future tense. Could I achieve this purpose in KH Coder? I have tried hard to find this kind of function in KH Coder but failed probably because I am not so familiar with it right now.

Main screen:

1. Go to [Tools] -> [Words] -> [KWIC Concordance]

"KWIC Concodance" screen:

1. Enter "he" as the "Word"
2. Click [Search] or hit ENTER key on your keyboard to search
3. Click [Stats] button in the lower right corner to open "Collocation Stats" screen

"Collocation Stats" screen:

1. Click [Filter], click [Clear] and check [Verb], and click [OK]
2. Click [The Score] and select [R1] as the "Sort:"

Well, you don't need what the verb is, but you need verb's form like VBD, VBZ, etc?

In that case, we will need to use SQL to directly access the database. Go to [Tools] -> [Execute SQL Statements], paste the following SQL code, then click [Execute]. We are tallying the Penn Treebank P.O.S. Tags for words that appear immediately after "he".

You can perform same search on "she" by changing the "he" to "she".
