Hi. I am doing text analysis on a certain issue and one of the keywords is number (996). However, using kh coder to generate the frequency lists, these digits are not treated as words. I wonder how to fix this.

Can you provide exact version number of KH Coder? Not just 3 but like 3.Beta.5 or 3.02a. To check the version number, go to "Help" "About" in the menu of KH Coder.

Also, what language of text are you trying to analyze?

Hi. I am using 3.02 macOS

1. go to [pre-processing], [select words to analyze] in the menu of KH Coder
2. enter "996" into the "force pick up" field and click "OK" button
3. go to [pre-processing], [run pre-processing] in the menu of KH Coder and click "OK" to run the pre-processing again

With this procedure, "996" will be treated as a word.

It works! But I have a follow-up question. I want to check the word association with a code. And I want to add the digits as part of the code. But it fails. It says, less than 5 words are found. If this digit is removed, then it works.

I create a code, “996” is part of the code: *work overwork or 996 or work and it fails to generate the work association related to my code. [截屏2024-05-28 16.03.41.png] but once I delete “996” from this code, it works.
