the abbreviation expansion appears on all occurrences of the abbreviation even when they are a part of another word

v1.3.14

Description

For example, I have a document that has AI and ML as abbreviations then OpenAI and HTML still get caught as uses of those two terms. In the latter case, I can fix by adding HTML as an abbreviation, which is good, but the first case OpenAI is a company name and it does not really make sense to have the abbreviation expansion there

Proposed solution

  • Make it so that abbreviation matching only applies to whole words not parts of words.
  • allow markup to prevent certain uses from being treated as abbreviations

You can also put in OpenAI: null for now to explicitly exclude that from the list of abbreviations. Example here.
