Eve Spawns Did NOT Reset After October 20th Apocalpyse #1135
Comments
Pretty sure that happened last time too |
Same with AHAP. We had to do apocalypse a while ago, which sent everyone to the 0,0 point. But Eve Spawn didn't move back to 0,0 - it just continued to spawn west of the last spawn site, instead of letting us start back at 0,0. |
That's similar for sure. But, we have Eve spawns right of where there were pre-apocalypse. |
Also, the first new White family ended up having their town about 1960 tiles to the left from Gingers town. Blacks were kind of near Gingers from left to right, and so were tans. I initially dismissed white family's location as the Eve just running far left. That could have happened. But, on Monday I played as this Eve Spoon I spawned slightly RIGHT of a town with a diesel water pump on it. So, as I understand things if the family went too far left of the average, that won't affect Eve spawns so families don't tend to spread out too much. However, I haven't checked logs or the code to confirm that the tan family that had made that diesel water pump had been out of range to change the new Eve spawn position at all. |
It was pretty neat to see all living players teleported to the monuments. Someone even made a reddit post about the apocalypse!
However, lifelog data starts with entries like: (-87640,-272). That was pre-apocalypse, and seems fine.
Then we see a birth entry of (3,1). O. K. someone got born from one of the survivors. There's entries near the origin for a bit then.
But, all of the entries later are like -75,000 to -77,000.
So, strangely Eve spawn position did change. But, it didn't shift so that the new Eves were near the monuments. We, meaning the server as a whole, didn't go back to zero.
