Security Leak? #1130

Did you check if any other of the Jungle family members were understandable? If you are able to send a link from the Wondible map where the interaction took place, and which items wrere handled by both of you, I might be able to find the rest of the player information |
No, I only saw one. |
I tried checking using playbackGame. However, the most recent recordedGames file I have is from February 28th. I loaded that and also saw it was a tutorial life with families not currently living, so the date seemed plausible. |
I remember this was on a Sunday, and find characters with last name of Spoon on a Sunday. Sugar Spoon has ID of 7692339. According to the lifelog data, Sugar Spoon was born at (-63167,-242) and died at ... well searching for "7692339" I get: "B 1727047651 7692339 9a0589cb673446fd534812d43cde1913f30b256a F (-63167,-242) parent=7692247 pop=52 chain=20 race=A status=N" and "B 1727048876 7692378 a80130fa3ff5ab201c487aa44ccc3b4ab72c83cf F (-63145,-231) parent=7692339 pop=55 chain=21 race=A status=N" and that's it!? The family tree lists two children for Sugar Spoon/character 7692339. Character 7692378 has a second entry confirming a /die death. But, there's no 2nd child for character 7692339, even though Laxmy Spoon is on the family tree and lives to 60. Laxmy Spoon does appear though on the Monday names text with character ID of 7692393 as the first entry. The parent of 7692393 was 7692339 as expected. Since Sugar Spoon had Laxmy Spoon during the time of the change of day, did something with the change of day for the system affect the language barrier for Sugar Spoon? Who in this game asks to "trade" anyways these days... though perhaps I digress. |
I don't know what the age difference between the tan male character and Sugar Spoon was. Also, after Sugar Spoon started going back to town she saw a Ginger female character, which I believe was significantly younger than Sugar Spoon and still a teenager. She had a backpack and some rabbit fur clothing in a horsecart if I recall correctly. The player had PXChat name of Dinna. Dinna said something to me, but Sugar Spoon saw scrambled text like normal, unlike the more or less clear English received from the tan male. So, perhaps if both characters get born before the day change, then live through the day change, does that disable all language scrambling in the default client's text box? |
Here are the player hashes of all the male Jungles that were born during from 2000 seconds before your birth, untill your death, duplicates removed: ab3183e62987e864bfc1145dd4fe71acd56be3ba |
Did anyone figure this out? I can try to test the day change language mechanic theory, however that doesn't explain the cactus fruits. Pretty sure the mechanics still allow the use of a Twitch stream to work around the language barrier (LOL becomes KEK, then you say KEK for LOL) Also how far away did you go into the wild Spoon? If the hypothetical streamer was zoomed out maybe in the graveyard and you were a few tiles over perhaps that could be why? |
I easily could have inferred that instead of having seen it. |
I just played as Sugar Spoon. A tan male comes to town, not using YumLife mod, and we have paper. I don't recall that character's name, only that the last name was Buddy. I write a note and drop it near him to ask for buckets of latex and palm oil. Then he speaks and it's completely understandable. I speak to him out in the wilderness also with no problem. Server count was like 50ish players. He wanted cactus fruits. I thought I saw cactus fruits suddenly appear in his horsecart and I even commented on spawning them. I played as Eve Spoon, Mina Spoon, Sara Spoon, Penny Spoon, and Sugar Spoon without any tutorial lives or use of /die in between. I mention that, because not only would it be an odd situation for tans to have learned blacks language, I don't recall seeing any tans in any of those lives, so I find it rather unlikely that language learning took place.
I hate the language barrier. I do think that any sort of resource exchange system would work better with all families having the ability to speak the same language.
However, it's more concerning if someone hacked the game and we have a security leak which enables them to arbitrarily bypass the rules which everyone else plays by.
Added: Also, I checked the waystone and it located the man, not any town's well. Once a town has a family well, waystones usually locate that well not people from what I can tell. Though, I haven't checked a waystone with someone that close and a family with a few other players from what I recall before.
