Appliance 5.0.1 not working right out of the box #143

We downloaded the 5.0.1 appliance and put it in a VM. The VM looks perfectly normal.

However, I am completely unable to follow the next steps for configuring the appliance using the webpage. I am able to log on using the default credentials for webadmin, but I am then unable to change the passwords for any of the users. I can fill out the password change dialogs, but the Save button remains disabled.

For giggles, I tried uploading a netboot image to see if other parts of the webpage worked. It got to the very last bytes and then failed. Interestingly, on the netboot image upload page, I get three error messages at the top:

The BSDP service is not running. Click here to start it.
The TFTP service is not running. Click here to start it.
The AFP service is not running, diskless functionality is unavailable. Click here to start it.

Clicking any of these links result in no change.

I have tried this in Firefox, Chrome, and on the Mac, Safari. All behave exactly the same.

Given that we have done absolutely nothing to the VM, we are at a loss to understand this behavior.

Thanks,
Lisa.

Just tested changing webadmin credentials, no such issue here.
Are you using any antivirus that act MITM?
Everything works well here, NetSUSLP_5.0.1.ova in Fusion-11.5.5
