Description of problem, include YAML if issue is related to notifications:

New install of HA Companion App - Not updating location on device. Repeated "Failed to Send" under the Location Tracking section. Seems to only fail when the app is not open on screen. Cannot log failures in "Show and Share Logs" because it works with app open (which is when the app logs). I have already reviewed the troubleshooting section. Battery optimization is off, all relative sections are enabled, location services enabled, etc.

If I understand you correctly, location tracking only fails to send locations when the app is in the background, correct? The actual location / network doesn't matter?

Could you open the app, turn off your device screen, and then after 15 min or so get a log from the app? That way you should get one of the failures in the log which will point us to what is missing.

I'll try that and report back. Thank you!

I attempted to pull logs by opening the app, locking the device, and checking after 15 minutes. When I refreshed the logs it only showed 15 minutes ago and now - Nothing in-between. However, location tracking showed failed attempts during the lapse. Not sure what the deal is...any other way to export logs?
