darwinConfigurations are configured as remote builders. their main functionality is being available to the linux-builder-01 via nix' buildMachines configuration

  • the test for this would involve a linux host in addition to the darwin host that's used for testing
  • the linux configures the darwin host as a remote builder and then runs a darwin build to test it
