Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 fan speeds not accurate

my problem is when I set my profile for the fans everything seems to work normally but the problem is it doesn't follow the exact values set on the NBFC app for example if I set the fan's speed to 50% the current fan speed shows up always higher than what I set by 10% or so I'm trying to use the app because my problem is whenever I leave a game my fans stay on the same level as they were in-game even after a long time 30 or 40min after leaving the game until I restart the laptop or put it into sleep and wake it up again if there are some better fan settings for my acer nitro AN515-54 I would be more than happy to try them.

sry for taking so long to reply I was trying to collect as much info as possible to understand how the nitro laptops work as much as I would love to change this laptop I see it as a good side quest to learn more about these problems I'm still working on a full detailed video on how to fix or make your settings / best ones that I could find so far to optimize these laptops and Im close to making some final touches I might drop it by tomorrow or max by Monday if that's ok and sorry for the delay life can get too much hard sometimes.

well you can start nbfc and if you look at the top you can see import click on it then you can choose the file that you want or you can make a new one all I can say is even if you apply it worked soo well for me but when I start a game the fans ramp up and when I quite the game they stay at the same rpm as if I'm still in a game so you will have to open fan control and click on enable and back to read-only so that the RPM goes down I'm still working on a detailed video on how to fix these problems on the nitro 5 series if everything goes as planned I'll make sure to link it here so everybody can try it and I hope it fixes your issues as well.

@ ziiads no im looking to import the config file you provided in .txt format . should i try to convert it to xml format or what as it dont detects .txt while importing though nbfc ? is your model too an515-54 i5-9300h gtx1650 ?

yes sorry that I didn't mention that but you should change the extension back to . XML I made it .txt so that I can make some modifications.

sadly I cannot post XML files here since it's not a supported format can you tell me exactly what issue are you facing at the moment so that I can help

do you have this option enabled on your settings if not make sure to do the same as i'm showing you on this screenshot

if you have Windows 10 you can do the same as this one

after this, you can rename the file extension to .XML
if this is already enabled then you have to right-click the file go to properties and click on the unblock option and you are good to go :

and then you are good to go.

well you have to do it the old way i guess lol i'll show you my settings and try to make your own config:



when yo finish click on save and you can now find it in fancontrol
make sure to choose any config name first then in notebook model name it whatever you want as well as config author the rest just copy my settings

no problem i'll make sure to post the video asap since it has some good optimization that I'm using rn even tho this laptop is old but it's still capable of doing fine in gaming and as far as I can tell nitrosense is just useless at this point since it's not doing anything if you still need help with anything do not hesitate this is my discord:
