How hard is it to add an email client?

So that the email is sent automagically without needing to pop up your own email client.

Then also it would come from a potentially trusted email?

Want to know if there is some simple JS plugin for this or if that would require a literal running server at all times.

For my personal website I just used a serverless function (which e.g. Netlify or Vercel supports) and the Sendgrid API (but any other mail sending service will do too). Need to think about how we want to deploy the app and sync with the Marcomms team what email services they're using.
