I run dotnet new -i Expecto.Template::* and got
zsh: no matches found: Expecto.Template::*

my dotnet --version is 5.0.202. I am using MacOS.

Make sure on shells that use the * character for expansion/globbing that you wrap the entire template name expression in quotes:

dotnet new -i "Expecto.Template::*"
