  • This issue is present in the app downloaded from the App Store.

Describe the bug
When starting the app on iOS 14.2 it shows the authenticator logo page with the white background then crashes instantly.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. On iOS 14.2 tap to open Google Authenticator
  2. See error

Expected behavior
The app should load.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: [iPhone XS]
  • OS: [iOS 14.2]
  • Browser [N/A]

This means I can't access a ton of stuff I use for work, so it's pretty high priority for me. I understand I took the risk by using a beta OS, however.

Yes, found it on Reddit but forgot to post it here. 😅

Delete and reinstall the app. Like most people I assumed this would remove my auth tokens but it didn’t. ¯\(ツ)

Yep, delete and re-install.

Alternatively, just "offload" the app, and then re-install it.

Go to Settings - General - iPhone Storage - Authenticator - Offload App,then tap Reinstall App.

This works for me, data not lost.
