Can not create a new Printer Entry

Could you tell me what is '_Printer Type_'? It is written as '_Default Printer_', and I can not change it. Isn't it a selection from 'contact' or 'non-contact' printing? Create Printer - entry page 2 '_Sample Type_' is shown instead of '_Printer Type_' (under '_Name_') Create Printer - entry page 2 What is '_General Descriptors_' ? Do we have this metadata in the Printer section? Create Printer - entry page 2 '_Reference_' (type and value) are mandatory ... which should be optional.

Printer Type is a placeholder. We reuse the same template for all metadata but some metadata (sample) has different types. For other metadata that does not have a type the field is simply disabled. We will hide it.

General Descriptors. All descriptors form the spreadsheet that are not in a group end up in this box. If you have alternative suggestions I am all open.

• Can this be hidden at first? (users can select this item if the microarray is printed manually?)
• Isn't this category name 'Manual Printing'?

3. Manual Printing - Isn't this 'general decription' or 'decription'?

4. This is not mandetory, right?
