Using v3.12.0, it does not display category labels strings, only the index number

Desired Behavior

Expected behavior working with v3.10.0 is to see category labels displayed by default

Observed Behavior

In 3.12.0, it only uses the index as labels instead of labels strings specified

Steps to Reproduce

Create a bar chart with labels strings to display.
