Generate a geom parameter from map for geo spatial queries

I cam across this post in discourse regarding the ability to generate a geom parameter from a map for geo-spatial queries. Did this ever get introduced / has anyone ever found a way to achieve this?

Redash meets every one of my needs so far with the sole exception of this which is ultimately a critical requirement to transition from my JupyterLab ipywidget notebook to this.

My use case matches the requirements in that thread, where I would like to be able to draw a polygon on a map and conduct a geo spatial search against the polygon over a predetermined time defined by time entries.
