https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/api/#1.0.0/styles.yaml as per the document, we can use json and xml to create just empty style and then use PUT to put data in it, I tried with application/vnd.ogc.sld+xml and application/zip where we pass sld text (xml) or .sld file respectively and it just creates styles.

I would recommend application/zip method since this will allow users to create sld where ever they want and just push it to GS.

Thoughts?
