Can't use subscription groups to limit creators from subscription feed due to how fetch settings work

What happened?

Specs: Pixel 5 running Android 14 on GrapheneOS.

When subscribing to a channel "Fetch settings" can be used to chose if you want to fetch videos from that channel in the subscriptions tab. But when I disable fetching for both videos and streams, videos still show up.

I was just trying to get it so that news channels wouldn't show up on the subscription feed, unless, I clicked on the news subscription group. Just like in: #1338. But I think how fetch works might (as mentioned here) cause it to not work.
