There are lots of Android apps with Chromecast support, like streaming apps etc (I mean, they have a Chromecast button to be able to easily cast to a Google-supported device like the Chromecast for instance).
It would be very nice to have a bridge that pretends to be a Chromecast device so clients can connect and use FCast behind the scene to cast to a TV etc.
The bridge can be installed for instance in a home server and cast to an Android tv app, so unmodified app can cast to the TV via FCast.
Or you can make something like an Android app to be installed in phones to intercept Chromecast or to present to apps an alternative FCast casting service, but don't think it's feasible due to the low level nature of Chromecast implementation in Android (with Google Play Services and its permissions etc). Could be a good candidate for MicroG to implement?
Btw thanks for this amazing free protocol, it's awesome!
