[Emmanuel Teitelbaum](https://www.emmanuelteitelbaum.com/) is an
associate professor of political science and international affairs at the [The George Washington University](https://www.gwu.edu/) His research and writing explore how class conflict and compromise intersect with democracy and development. He also has a strong interest in labor
standards and understanding how labor unions, nonprofit organizations, consumers and corporations can help to promote them.
At GW, Professor Teitelbaum teaches courses on comparative politics, comparative political economy and data science. He is on faculty in the [Department of Political
Science](https://politicalscience.columbian.gwu.edu/) and the [Elliott School of International Affairs](https://elliott.gwu.edu/) and is affiliated with the [Sigur Center for Asian Studies](https://sigur.elliott.gwu.edu/) as well as the Institute for [International Economic Policy](https://iiep.gwu.edu/).

Professor Teitelbaum's office hours are on Mondays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please sign up for a slot (or two) on his [Calendly](https://calendly.com/emmanuel-teitelbaum) page. He is
