Kafka-ML module

It's less of an issue and more of a question.
How does the module in charge of ML currently work? As far as I understand, the modules [Eclipse Hono to Kafka-ML] and [Error detection for Eclipse Hono with Kafka-ML] use Eclipse Hono who is no longer recommended in installation docs.
Will the platform be expanded in the future with a Kafka ML platform where it will be possible to change ongoing algorithms?
