Currently the ca provider for channelPut always does a put with callback.
By default it should always issue a put without callback.

It does a put with callback if the client specifies a request option of the form:
"record[block=true],..."

In pvAccessCPP the code that checks for this is

PVStringPtr pvString = pvRequest->getSubField("record._options.block");
if(pvString) {
    std::string val = pvString->get();
    if(val.compare("true")==0) block = true;
}

Note that this only applies to ca provider and then only to ChannelPut.
