Hi Federico. Interesting analysis. One of our students (D. Maddaloni) is beginning to use Beall's algorithm (in our case, on experimental data of electrodeless plasma thrusters). I'm sure you two will have the opportunity to meet in person in the next face-to-face conference... |

Hello everyone,
My name is Federico Petronio and I am currently in 3rd year PhD at Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (LPP) in Paris area. My thesis is founded in collaboration with SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINES. I work with 2D Particle-in-Cell simulations of ExB discharges in Hall Thrusters configuration. My research focuses on the analysis of the instabilities in these kind of discharges.
In these slides I present a method to reconstruct the Power Spectral Density using a limited number of data points. The extreme localization of this technique allows to apply it also along direction characterized by strong gradient (i.e. the thruster axis) and to reconstruct the spectrum in extremely circumscribed regions of the discharge.
I will be happy to discuss my preliminary results with you.
Federico
