Steps to reproduce

  1. Debian 12, Wayland, sway, Element-desktop-nightly 2024030901
  2. Login to desktop, and autostart keyring storage (keepassxc), element-desktop-nightly
  3. If I no unlock keyring in first ~30 seconds - then element-desktop-nightly says, that it clear his data and I need login again to my server. This is ugly.

Outcome

What did you expect?

If keyring is locked and element can not get his password - it must show message about this ("please unlock keyring") and show key "try again". And NOT clear session data!

What happened instead?

If user not unlock keyring in first ~20-30 seconds after start element-desktop - element will clear his session data. And user must enter his password again and wait init sync.

Operating system

Debian 12

Application version

Element-desktop-nightly 2024030901

How did you install the app?

official element.io repo for debian 12

Homeserver

matrix-synapse-py3 1.89.0+bullseye1

Will you send logs?

No
