It seems at least catia v5.19 does not like a "." in the urls in the license comments #151

Don't ask me why they have this problem. If we encode the dot as %2E it works in catia.
(What really makes this strange is that only one dot seems to be troublesome. Only the one between 4 and 0 of the creative commons site.)

Has anybody else encountered strange problems with comertial step file parsers?

I think you could post a poll at KiCad forum or open an issue at kicad 3D packages repo...
here I think there are little people checking the issues...
May be at the forum we could ask people with proprietary CAD to make some random or specific checks on STEP files...

PS could you please upload a wrong and a right STEP file?
