Desktop Runtime binaries

We want to xcopy deploy our desktop app, and have the framework version isolated from other apps. We can do this for regular .net apps, but not desktop because the binary zip isn't distributed, or at least, it isn't shown here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/5.0

What is the reason for this?

@leecow for visibility on the request. @jlanng , you can grab the windows desktop pieces from the sdk zip if you needed to as I don't know when this might get done.

My concern is that maybe there's a good reason why the installer has to run?

Old issue triage: @mairaw the download page only lists the installer for windows desktop but we are producing the zips. We could update that table with those downloads as well if you'd like.
