Why is Bake still experimental? I love the plugin and command. Any timeframe for non- experimental?

We plan to use bake at my company, but we've seen it's still experimental.
Which surprises me because the first mention of bake dates back in v0.2.1 .

What are the reasons of keeping it as experimental ?
Potential breaking changes without a major bump ?
