Reduction of HIV Concentration During Acute Infection: Independence from a Specific Immune Response

An attempt to reproduce the HIV model from Phillips (1996) - https://science.sciencemag.org/content/271/5248/497

Temporal changes in the A.) number of virus particles (V), B.) number of susceptible CD4+ cells (R), C.) number of actively infected CD4+ cells (E) and of latently infected CD4+ cells (L) in the bloodstream in the first 120 days after HIV infection as predicted by the model.

Running the code

The analyses were done in R using deSolve package. To reproduce the model, please fork this repo and then open it in your Rstudio session. Run Phillips_1996.Rmd and the figure will be stored to a directory called output.
