There is provider strategy doc that discusses these in detail but a blog post is more consumable for users compared to a design doc with lots of data and analysis.

It would be really interesting to understand how we can start with a terrajet generated provider and then migrate little by little to a native provider. I'm really interested in the maintenance aspect and how the provider evolves with time.
