repo dead?

Hey is this repo dead?
Seems like there was no activity since May 2017.
I'm trying to use it in an Ionic app, following this guide: https://ionicframework.com/docs/native/geofence

I'm having multiple different errors:

Installing "cordova-plugin-compat" for android
Plugin doesn't support this project's cordova-android version. cordova-android: 8.0.0, failed version requirement:
      <6.3.0

And Cannot find module '../../src/cordova/platform_metadata' -> #284

Hey, did you found a solution for your problem ? Semms like this repo is really dead but is there an alternative ?
