In the current draft the "lightweight" checks of 5.2 are only applied in the range 0-255 and FCFS range, not in the IETF/IESG stream review.

The DE is not consulted in the IETF/IESG stream; and there's no mention of anyone (e.g. IANA or DE) doing the 5.2 checks for this stream.
