Remarks:

Hi Jordan! Here are some running comments:

  • Your choice of subject is really interesting.
  • I would have liked some of the writing to be a bit more specific. Talking about all this psych stuff, variables, conditions, etc. can get confusing if your head isn't in the particular project, so you have to be soooo clear. I think just making sure to use short sentences and avoiding the passive would help and to make definitions of terms painfully obvious. It's easier to understand in the beginning of the Method section than in the initial section. I have a student who was writing up some psych studies for her BA thesis (my PhD is in cultural psych/psych anthro) and she and I had to go back and forth about six times before I felt like it was totally clear, so, obviously, it's not all that easy to get perfect. And she's one of my best students.
  • Yeah, as I go along reading, I think you just have to continually redefine your terms (e.g. latency) or otherwise it becomes confusing.
  • Is the analysis at the very end an analysis of all of it? Or just Question 5? I would have liked to see a summary of everything, complete with implications. Again, think I got caught up in the language.
  • As per the important stuff: wow, this website. Were we in the same class...? It's clear that you put a crazy amount of work into this and it looks beautiful. It's a great way to showcase your work. How on earth did you figure out how to do half of that? I love how you've embedded the code so your viewer can really see what you did. I have some serious catching up to do, to put it mildly.
  • My only criticism of the website is that once you click on GitHub, you lose the part on top where you could go back and click on the Analysis tab. That said, I'm not even sure there is a way to avoid this.
  • Overall, amazing work!!!
