Create video sitemap to improve the chances of google showing videos in search results.

@coiko I decided to start making/testing a video site map for the site. I had some questions regarding this:

  • A video title is required for the sitemap. Is the video title tied to the species name or the section name? There are multiple sections that share the same species, so it seems like the video title would be the same as the section title.
  • A video description is needed for the sitemap. For now I put "Microbiology textbook video highlighting [section name]". To make it less clunky, do you think something like "Microbiology textbook video for section [section name]"? Or something else?

Thanks @KianBadie! To answer your questions, yes, it probably makes sense to tie the video title to the section name since the species names are non-unique. And yes, the video description sounds great. We could also try to get the species name into the description, maybe with something like "Microbiology video of [species name] illustrating [section name]". Since people (particularly student people) often Google the names of specific microbes, that might help the pages/videos get noticed. What do you think?

@coiko Sounds good! And I like the idea of including the species name! I think it is great.
