pausing visual updates while finding the path

hi,
I am using function "get_free_motion_gen()". to find robot path.
I want to temporarily pause the robot visual updates while the robot is finding a path, and only update the visuals when the robot successfully finds the path and moves to the goal pose

how can i do this?
