As a member of the makerspace,
When my garage becomes full of raw materials I will never use,
And my wife yells at me,
I want to list those materials on the site,
So that I know they'll go to someone who will make use of them,
And so that I know they won't wind up in a landfill.

For the joker who suggests Freecycle, I'm on that list and don't particularly enjoy the user experience. I'd rather be notified when someone is looking for something I've got, or has something I need versus having to read a bunch of email I don't care about.
