In general I like the new bright UI in version 2+.

Username and password

When configuring username and password the buttons are visually gone. They appear again on hover but this UI makes it harder to use. We need to guess where to hover to figure out where the buttons are. The same goes for the input fields. Why hide them?

Url

The same thing goes for the url field. You may opt that it's cleaner but the UX suffer. We don't see that it's an editable field and we don't see the buttons.

Moved to our UI library as this is where this feature is implemented. I'd consider alternatives to simply showing the buttons all the time - I personally think they clutter the UI. Either of these would be acceptable:

  • Smart button placement, always visible, not taking up much room and not making the UI terribly cluttered/ugly.
  • Toggle-able visibility that could be controlled via Buttercup preferences.
