Defining a strict chart width

I would like to know, if there is a functionality for defining an exact chart width, let's say window.innerWidth() or 1440px. After the chart becomes as build as this defined value, is it possible to start expanding the nodes down and make a graph taller, instead of expanding the nodes to the side and making the graph wider?
