Ideally a coordinator could create volunteer accounts themselves. We need to see if we can make this simply enough - and if so then the UI on for this role. The UI currently looks like this:

new_user

Ideally the UI would consist of simply

  • name
  • email address
  • role

Depending how #34 works out, the "role" ("Application Accesses" on this screen) would need to default appropriately to Volunteer for the Inventory screen. Or we find a nice way for the co-ordinator to choose between Volunteer or Co-ordinator themselves.

Everything else would be hidden , assuming we can set all permissions via the roles. Note that some of these options only appear when in Developer mode.

The other aspect we'll need to check is what the workflow is like for the new user. Do they get an automated email when the coordinator creates the account, for instance?
