Home

Welcome to the homepage of the Digital Humanities Lab of the Bibliotheca Hertziana - Max Planck Institute for Art History, Rome, where we develop algorithms, tools and databases for computational techniques in the history of art.

Our lab consists of two full-time scientists (Martin Raspe
and Alessandro Adamou), supporting interns and research assistants, and a network of staff in other departments dealing with the Digital Humanities:
Christoph Glorius (digital photographic collection),
Klaus Werner (digital rare books),
and Elisa Bastianello (digital publications manager).

We would like to also acknowledge our former DH scientist Leonardo Impett for the invaluable contributions given during his tenure in the Lab.

Applications for doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships in the area of Digital Humanities are explicitly welcomed at the Bibliotheca Hertziana. For more information, see the relevant page of the main Hertziana website.
