I love components, but wherever they exist, good markup is: (a) often forgotten, (b) essential for accessibility. But which markup is ‘good’? It would be an honour to come and talk about this.

It's the markup that matters

Modern JavaScript frameworks virtualise our DOMs. This allows us to focus on implementation, as data declaratively maps state into markup. While this is great in itself, the significance of the actual markup often gets overlooked. In this practical talk, Hidde will show how specific bits of markup provide real benefit to users.

Hi @carolstran, thank you, that's great! With regards to length, I've done a 40 minute version once before, but can also do it in 25, it would then have a little less context and fewer examples.

Thanks @hidde for the proposal again. I'd be really interested to see practical examples you mentioned in your abstract. However, we only have three long talk slots and your's didn't quite make it (we had way, way, way more proposals than talk slots :))

However, we have some 10 minute slots to fill. Would you be able to give a 10 minute best of of your talk? Or, if that doesn't work for you, are you able to travel to Berlin for any of the other regular dates of BerlinJS?

I think it won't work well in 10 minutes, because then it would either have too little context or too few examples, and both are important I think.

I am in Berlin occasionally for work, but currently not sure if those dates are near BerlinJS meetup dates.
