Tell us about your request
Alpine-based container images eligible for Inspector scans in ECR are not being scanned as expected.

Which service(s) is this request for?
ECR( Inspector )

Tell us about the problem you're trying to solve. What are you trying to do, and why is it hard?
We rely on Amazon Inspector to perform vulnerability scans on container images stored in ECR, particularly as part of our security reviews and team-wide status checks.
However, Alpine images (specifically versions 3.20 and 3.19) are not being scanned properly, which is affecting our ability to track vulnerabilities for these images.

Are you currently working around this issue?
At present, we're manually scanning the Alpine images separately from our automated workflow.

Additional context
This has also happened in the past but it is not frequent.
