Feature Request: Enforce max 1 newline

Would it be appropriate to have the configurability to allow this package to remove excess whitespace from a document?

I personally find it extremely annoying when people use > 1 newline and was on the verge of creating a gulp plugin to remove them, but if a package existed for atom that would enforce this behaviour, that would be fantastic.
