https://github.com/replikativ/datahike is a fine library which seems to have many of the same objectives while relying on the hitchhiker-tree - one of the candidates I've considered for a Shelving serialization layer. It'd be interesting to see how much I can beg/borrow/steal learn from that project since it's an existing datascript/datalog implementation.
